Business presence in 2018 and beyond
September 30, 2018One of our customers asked me once: “Why do I need Google Street view indoor? Who cares how does it look inside on the Web. I need customer to see where my shop is, and that’s all it matters.”
Hmm, I was prepared for the answer long time ago, and I wanted to prove him wrong on the spot. But to make it easier, I asked him:
How do you think customer differentiate between shops, if they don’t know them and how they decide where to go?
Over 80% of Web traffic is through mobile media, that means Cell Phones. For any generation that mastered the cell phones use, is easy as one, two, three, to scroll
on to Google Maps, type the type of the store they are looking for in their vicinity or area where they go. They get the results and what not?
How they decide where to go? Where to spend their money on, where to eat, where to give their trust in to service they need?
Your future customers and clients have some options immediately on the Google Maps:
- Photos from the store
Mostly added by customers, or in a good case by somebody who knows what he is doing and made Google Plus page for the business.
This way, business can control the content and to show what they want customers to see. Attract them by professional photographs, updates on their menus and offerings. - Customers feedback
Be sure to check it once in a while. It can ruin business reputation and prevent future customers visits. Social Zoro offers Reputation monitor. To prevent unknown and missed feedback. - Google Street view
Customers often chooses business by their look on the Street View, however also by how the business looks indoor. Example can be Barber Shop, Restaurant or Nail Saloon.
If you know to what you are going in to, its easier to make the decision. Google Street View provides inside analytics for Business Street View. With statistics on the views, business can review the performance.
Ignorance does not helps in Reality and neither in on Web. Don’t think that something that you don’t have is not needed and you can manage with the minimum you got. Somebody else will do the extra mile, and you loose the customer. Is that simple.
